# 1 Preparation

## 1.1 Installation Package

### Option 1: Offline Pack

Step 1: Click on [e-office\_v11.0.0.0\_20230508\_offline](https://e-office.obs.cn-east-3.myhuaweicloud.com/11.0/install/offline/e-office_v11_offline.zip) to initiate the download for offline installation package

Step 2: Right-click, click “Extract Here” to get the installer.

### Option 2:  Online Pack&#x20;

Step 1: Click on <https://e-office.one/download-e-office/>

Step 2: Click on "Download Now" to download the e-office installation pack.&#x20;

## 1.2. Firewall

Step 1: Press the Windows Key on your keyboard or click the Start button in the bottom-left corner of your screen or click the search bar next to the Start button on the taskbar.

Step 2: Type “Window Defender Firewall” and click on it to open the program.

&#x20;Step 3: Click “Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off”.

&#x20; Step 4: Turn off both of the firewall and click OK to save the settings made.&#x20;

## 1.3 Confirm Installation Path

### 1.3.1 Check if Drive D: exists?

Step 1: Open File Explorer, under This PC > (D:) exists? or click “This PC”, check whether D: exists under “Device and drives”

### 1.3.2 Confirm if a new disk can be created

Check if it's possible to create a D: drive? Note that when using Instances on Cloud Servers, there may be limitations in creating a new drive depending on the provider e.g.: Tecent.
